Daniels and Shaw announce engagement

Darcy Jeanette Daniels and James Colin Shaw recently announced their engagement.

Darcy is the daughter of Walter and Sandra Daniels of Carson City. She is a 2001 graduate of Carson High School and earned a bachelor of education degree in English and speech communications from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2007. She works as an eighth grade language arts teacher for Jefferson Schools in Colorado.

James is the son of Joyce and the late James Everett Shaw of Elko. He is a 1997 graduate of Elko High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in mine engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2003. He is employed as a mining engineer at the Henderson Mine in Colorado.

The couple plan to wed on July 17, 2010, at Thunder Canyon Golf Course.
