Marlette-Hobart closed weekdays

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources says parts of the Tahoe Nevada State Park backcountry near Marlette Lake are closed Monday through Fridays because of construction on the Marlette Water system.

The area closed to hikers and their visitors is the backcountry areas between Marlette Lake and Hobart Lake. The closure bans travel beyond the access gate above Lakeview Estates at the south end of Washoe Valley.

However, Ash Canyon Road, Hobart Lake, North Canyon Road, the Marlette Flume Trail and Tahoe Rim Trail are all open.
