Obituary: Edna A. Barry

Edna A. Barry, 90, a resident of Carson City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009.

She was born July 4, 1919, to George and May (Canning) Miller in Brooklyn, N.Y. She married Thomas Barry.

A homemaker, Edna moved to Carson City from Monmouth County, N.J. She attended St. Gall Catholic Church, enjoyed being involved in her church, and was active in bowling leagues.

Edna is survived by her children, Thomas Barry and his wife Linda of Andover, N.J., Robert Barry of Abingdon, Md., Joan Powers of Fernley; brother George Miller of Richmond, Mo.; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and eleven great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.

A viewing/ visitation will be 10 a.m. today, at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, where services will conclude. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in care of arrangements.
