A Carson City man was sentenced this week to 10 to 25 years in prison in connection with the early 2008 seizure of more than $600,000 in drugs.

Daniel Andrade-Mendoza, 35, pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking in September. He appeared before Judge Jim Wilson on Tuesday.

Andrade-Mendoza, Ruvin Lamas, 37, and Jose Pacheco were arrested Jan. 3, 2008, following a raid in which police recovered 5.2 pounds of cocaine, 2.6 pounds of methamphetamine, 5.5 pounds of marijuana, and $9,500 in cash.

According to the arrest report, officers used an undercover police informant to make four separate purchases of cocaine from Andrade-Mendoza.

The two locations searched were Andrade-Mendoza's Stanton Arms apartment on Woodside Drive and Gonzales' and Lamas' Carson Catalina apartment on Hot Springs Road.

In October, Lamas was sentenced to two to five years in prison. The same month, Pacheco was sentenced to time served and deported to Mexico.
