James Wayne Tilman

James Wayne Tilman, 63, a Minden resident and Nevada native, died Jan. 1, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno. He was born Jan. 12, 1945 in Ely. He was preceded in death by father James Marion Tilman. Among his survivors are wife Shari DeHart Tilman; daughters Bartina Tilman and Marchetta Tilman; daughters and sons-in law Marcella and Erik Kelliher, Shari Anne and Nathan Medina, Teresa and Brandon Murray; son and daughter-in-law James and Pamela TIlman II; mother and stepfather Amelia and John Garcia; sisters Barbara Satterfield, Karla Tucker, sister and brother-in-law Sharron and Larry Brewer; brothers John and James Tilman and 12 grandchildren. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Elks Lodge, 1276 Pit Road, Gardnerville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Elks building fund in Gardnerville. Capital City Cremation and Burial is in charge of arrangements.
