Obituary: Frances Arkel Pinkela

Frances Arkel Pinkela, 92, a 32-year resident of Carson City, died June 23, 2009 at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born in Pine Island, N.Y. Among her survivors are sons Frank and Joseph; daughter Mary Ann Hamilton, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be 6-8 p.m., today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Church. She is to be buried at Lone Mountain Cemetery next to her husband, Frank Pinkela Sr. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
