Clouds moving in to Carson City; chance of showers this weekend

Weather for the Carson City area today will be sunny in the morning becoming partly cloudy throughout the day with highs 62-72 with southwest winds around 10 mph.

Tonight, mostly cloudy with lows 35-45 with southwest winds up to 10 mph.

Saturday, windy and mostly lcoudy with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon, now level 6500-7000 feet. Highs 52-62 with southwest winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:32 a.m. all roads open with no controls.

Utility work continues on Little Lane between Saliman Road south Stewart Street, mainly between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., with lane restrictions on Little Lane west of South Roop Street.

Utility work is also being done on North Roop Street from East John to Long streets, and on Corbett street, west of North Roop.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, as with East Fifth Street from Saliman Road to Fairview Drive.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted lower speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
