Callen Tjader, who trained couples for appearance at the civic auditorium is the great-grandson of Abe Curry, the founder of Carson City.

Mr. Tjader's father was Frederick Tjader, Carson native, who was the son of Anton Tjader, Carson City physician, whose wife was the daughter of Abe Curry.
