Coldwell Bankers' 11th annual Boot Scootin' BBQ

The 11th annual "Gifts from the Heart" Boot Scootin' BBQ charity fundraiser this weekend is sure to be a great time. The weather is no problem since it's inside the Fuji Park Pavilion. Craig, Teri and friends will rock the place. Add special cowboy poetry by Richard Eloyan and delicious food provided by "A Catered Affair." Jenny Lopiccolo, owner of Coldwell Banker, and all the Realtors there started this great event 11 years ago to help so many outstanding organizations that do so much within Carson City. Come join the fun and assist Meals on Wheels, CASA, Advocates, Safe Grad (Carson and Dayton), Carson Tahoe Cancer Center and many more. It's a wild time in the corral this weekend.

Fundraiser at Doppelganger's for Baby Giovanni

When you get an e-mail concerning a little baby and outstanding parents struggling with all sorts of medical costs to help save their child, you realize, after crying, that a miracle is call for. So today when you read this say a little pray and give a call to the number below to purchase some raffle tickets, become a vendor or donate $5 - whatever you can do - to help Little Giovanni. Raffle items for this event would be wonderful. Tasha and Luis need help to save their son. Tasha is a native Nevadan. Both Tasha and Luis attended local schools from K-12 and both were captains of their high school soccer teams. They know about determination, motivation and love. They utilize those great strengths daily in their son's survival. Help from the community would be outstanding. WHAT: Shop with local vendors for Christmas, including Jewelry from the Heart, Mary Kay, Miche Purses etc, live music by Victoria, who is just thirteen and very talented.

Baby items needed

Just one more reminder of the annual Knights of Columbus, Sierras Madre Council 4781 baby drive held for the only local Community Pregnancy Crisis Center in Carson City. You can donate before and after all masses at St. Teresa's Catholic Community. Look for the white pick up outside the church main entrance.

WHAT: Baby item drive

WHERE: St. Teresa's Church Parking Lot

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday

ITEMS NEEDED: infants and small children, baby food, diapers, formula, toys, new clothes, wipes, stuff for new mothers. Money donations are also accepted. Any used items must be in excellent condition. Large items (strollers, car seats, rockers, cribs, etc) are accepted or can be picked up upon arrangement. Call 220-9196.
