A regular old fashioned hurricane swept down from the Sierras and about midnight the velocity was nearly a mile a minute. Nearly everything that was moving was taken up to the port of Empire, an old ash barrel got loose on Third Street and chased a man three blocks. He thought was being pursued by a foot-pad.
