A Carson City teen was killed early Saturday morning in a one-car accident 25 miles north of Fallon on Highway 95.
The Nevada Highway Patrol reports Alexander W. Parker, 18, of Carson City was ejected from the vehicle.
He was transported to Renown Medical Center by Care Flight where he was pronounced dead.
The NHP said Parker was driving his Honda Civic northbound on Highway 95 at about 6:06 a.m., when the vehicle drifted off the right road edge. Parker overcorrected to the left, and the vehicle entered into a broadside skid.
The vehicle continued across the southbound travel lane and exited the west road edge where it then skidded into the desert, ejecting Parker.
Two other passengers were injured.
The NHP said William Z. Dowdle, 18, of Sparks was transported to Renown Medical Center and is in critical condition. James W. Bradshaw, 18, of Sparks, was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.
The NHP said the occupants were wearing seat belts. Alcohol is suspected in the accident.
The NHP is continuing its investigation of the accident.
