Comma Coffee's cat needs new home

Ever since November 2008 when an anonymous person complained to the Carson City Health Department, Comma Coffee's resident feline, Small Cat has lived instead at the home of shop owner June Joplin.

"After almost five years living at Comma Coffee among couches and customers, it was a bit rocky at first, but she eventually made the adjustment," Joplin said. "However, I think she really needs to live in a home where she is the only cat."

Joplin describes Small Cat as a very affectionate, beautiful, well-behaved, indoor/outdoor kitty, possibly a Maine Coon.

Anyone who might be able to give Small Cat a permanent home is asked to e-mail her at june@commacoffee.com or call 883-2662.

This year the church will lead a service mission to La Union, an impoverished rural Guatemalan village, to improve basic health conditions and educational opportunities. The group also plans to repair the school roof and perform other general repairs to La Union's school buildings.
