Carson City Girl Scouts Troop 196 will participate in Adopt a Pet Day from
10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 1 at the Carson City Animal Shelter at 3770 Butti Way.
The Scouts will unveil a new animal shelter sign designed and made by the troop.
Adopt a Pet Day will feature a raffle for all new pet owners, pet care information and more.
Troop 196 will be collecting donations for the animals, including blankets, towels, rubber pet toys, puppy and kitten food, adult animal food and dog treats.
