Building group finishes emergency room facility

Shaheen Beauchamp Builders LLC, a commercial general contracting firm based in Carson City, completed expansion and renovation of the emergency room and long-term care facilities at Battle Mountain General Hospital.

The project required coordination to maintain the emergency room and health care facility's 24-hour operation.

Shaheen Beauchamp also has done work at Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare, Carson Urologists, Carson Medical Group, GI Consultants, and the Skin Cancer & Dermatology Institute.

The architect for the project is HMC Architects in Reno.


Businesses invited to SBA loan webinar

Small businesses and entrepreneurs can learn how to obtain a Small Business Administration loan during a July 29 webinar that starts at 9 a.m.

The free one-hour, online event is hosted by Nevada State Bank and is available from any Web-accessible computer.

Realtor joins Coldwell, Carson City

Jeri Vine has joined Carson City's Coldwell Banker Best Sellers Team as a full-time broker/salesperson.

Vine had worked for Silver Oak Properties for the past 10 years, working the resale market as well as new home sales in Silver Oak. She has been a licensed real estate agent since 1990 and has lived in the Carson City area for the past 18 years.

Carson City horse specialist awarded

Carson City veterinarian Karen A. Hassan was awarded Diplomate status earlier this year by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Hassan runs Eastern Sierra Equine, a veterinary practice that focuses on horses, which is located at 3550 Shawnee Dr.

Hassan was among 73 new Diplomats added to the college. There are 1,471 Diplomates in all.


CFO named to

Carson Valley Medical Center

Marcus Armstrong has been named chief financial officer for the Carson Valley Medical Center.

His duties will also include the hospital, CVMC Complete Care, CVMC Senior Care, Job's Peak Family Medicine, Job's Peak Internal Medicine and Family Practice, Job's Peak General Surgery and Topaz Ranch Medical Clinic.

Armstrong's financial experience includes work with critical access hospitals. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has a MBA in Health Care Management.
