Loyde J. Wilson, 91, a 48-year Carson City resident, died at home. Loyde was born in Palisade, Neb., to Loyde and Emma Wilson.
Loyde was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served four years in the Army as a mechanic. Loyde retired from Baker Electric after many years of service. He was a founding member of Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church. He was also a member of the Eagle Valley Riders Equestrian Club.
Loyde is survived by his wife of 68 years, Irene, his daughter Judy Shugrue, grandson Ron and his wife Nicole, and great-grandchildren Anthony, Jackson and Raelin, all of Carson City. He is preceded in death by his son Ronald D. Wilson and his brother Don Wilson.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Fitzhenry's Chapel of Faith. Fitzhenry's Funeral Home is caring for arrangements.
