Show and shine heats up summer fun

The Summer Heat Show & Shine will rev up the heat 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Bully's Sports Bar & Grill, 3530 N. Carson St.

Capital Classic Productions is hosting the show. Pre-registration is $25 or $30 on the day of the show. There are classes for trucks, cars and motorcycles.

Spectators can take a look at vehicles, from classics to modern muscles, for free.

Join the show for a chance to compete for awards. Everyone gets a chance at raffle prizes, music, food and drink and lots of fun.

Moonlight Golf Tournament to benefit CTRHA

A Moonlight Golf Tournament will start with registration at 5 p.m. July 23 at Silver Oaks gold Course for the Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Auxiliary.

There will be a barbecue, and the cost for the event is $75 per player. For more information call 883-1532.

V&T train ride, barbecue planned by Soroptimists

Soroptimists International of the Comstock will host a special V&T train ride and barbecue fundraiser July 24.

Join in for "An Evening To Remember" including historic lectures, surprises and drawings. The funds from the event will go toward improving the lives of local women and children.

Tickets are $45 and sales are limited to 144.
