Detective Hume, who went out after the Bodie Stage robbers, returned yesterday. He lost the Appeal's map the second day out and after that says he was completely at sea. He will start out again and thinks he will bag the men this time.

100 YEARS AGO

Manager Lyons of the aviation meet says the machine is back in shape today after Thursday's occurrence and that it has made four flights. After the roller makes the landing field a better place to land, that craft will be flying soon in the clouds.

70 YEARS AGO

Bill Roberts, a youthful maestro, who brings his orchestra from "The Sky Room" of the Hilton Hotel in Long Beach, will open the show at the State Line Country Club, Lake Tahoe.

50 YEARS AGO

At the Carson Theater: Solomon and Sheba with Yul Brynner and Gina Lollo-bridgidia (in Technicolor). At the Sky-Vue Drive-in: Band of Angels with Clark Gable and Yvonne DeCarlo.

20 YEARS AGO

A new hotel casino, featuring 464 hotel rooms, will be considered with 73,000 square feet south of the Southwest Gas offices and north of the In and Out Car Wash.
