Frances Sozanski, 91, passed away Nov. 30, 2010, in Reno. Frances was born January 29, 1919, in Waltham, Mass., to Joseph and Anna Sozanski. Frances graduated from Waltham Senior High school in 1937. She worked at Raytheon in Bedford, Mass., from 1956 to 1970. Moving to Carson City in 1970, Frances worked for the state of Nevada from 1973 to 1987, in various departments, lastly for the rehabilitation department.
She was a member of the Eagles, the Community Concert Association, Silver Sierra Adventurers, the Leisure Hour Club and the Sierra Philharmonic Society.
Frances was preceded in death by her brother, Adam Sozanski and sister Helen J. Johnson.
She is survived by two nieces, Nadine Guzzi from Waltham, Joann Greeley from West Newton, Mass., and one nephew, John Sozanski also from Waltham.
A visitation is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at Walton's in Carson City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, also at Walton's Chapel.
Burial will follow at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements.
