Couples from California coming to Carson City to get married complain because of the long wait for marriage licenses. Carsonites are much concerned and have declared that something should be done to avoid delays that might cause the city and county to lose some of the marriage business.

Over 20 state workers considered to be "critical" employees are eligible to work while they collect retirement. The Board of Examiners approved the "double dip" after discussion of how badly veteran employees are needed in critical areas.
