$1000 reward offered in vandalism

The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District is seeking the public's assistance in investigating an act of recent vandalism in Brunswick Canyon south and east of Carson City.

Between 5 p.m. on July 19 and 10 a.m. on July 20, a Caterpillar road grader was vandalized while parked about 2.5 miles up the Brunswick Canyon Road.

Damage was sustained to the windows, headlights, turn signals, tires and hydraulic hoses.

The BLM is offering a reward of $1,000 for the apprehension and conviction of the perpetrators.

BLM Rangers are investigating the incident. Anyone with information about the vandalism is urged to call the BLM Law Enforcement Office at 775-885-6000.
