Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail over the weekend. All are innocent until proven guilty in court.

• Jorge Oscar Mattiello, 47, of Carson City, was booked early Monday on charges of domestic battery, violation of a suspended sentence, failure to appear at a Reno traffic court hearing, all misdemeanors, and felony preventing/dissuading a victim from reporting a crime.

Just after midnight on Monday, a sheriff's deputy was dispatched on a report of an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance inside a residence. Once there, Mattiello, who was on house arrest, was found. It is alleged that he was intoxicated and screaming profanities at his girlfriend and that when she tried to call 911, he shoved her onto a bed and tried to take the cell phone away. His bail was $10,915.

• Garrett John Hatch, 20, of Carson City, was charged with three felony counts of violating an extended protection order. Hatch, who is an inmate at the Carson City Detention Facility, is accused of repeatedly contacting his son's mother via his own mother. Bail was $45,000.

• Alfredo Rosales, 39, of Carson City, was arrested at about 7:15 Friday night on a felony warrant for possessing false identification. Rosales' bail was $2,500.

• April Kuhner, 29, of Minden, was arrested Friday morning on charges of fraudulent possession of prescription drugs. Kuhner, a medical assistant, is accused of misrepresenting herself to obtain a generic version of hydrocodone. Her bail was $2,500.

• Jason Souza, 24, of Tulare, Calif., was booked on felony charge of being a fugitive from justice. Souza was taken to the Carson City Jail by the Nevada Department of Corrections after finishing a state sentence. He will be extradited to Redding, Calif., where the felony warrant originated.

• A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested on charges of first-offense driving under the influence, hit-and-run against property, driving with a suspended license, all misdemeanors, and driving without proof of insurance, a gross misdemeanor. Bail was $2,300. The arrest was made at 2:45 a.m. Saturday after deputies responded to a rollover accident near Deer Run Road and U.S. Highway 50. The arrested man allegedly failed all field sobriety tests and submitted to a blood test without incident.

• A 29-year-old Carson City woman and 30-year-old Carson City man were arrested Saturday afternoon on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop near Fairview Drive and South Carson Street.

The woman, who is unemployed, was wanted for failing to comply with bail at Sparks Municipal Court, a misdemeanor, and was held on $1,144 bail. The man was arrested on a warrant from Reno for having non-sufficient funds, a misdemeanor. He was held on $500 bail.

• A 36-year-old unemployed Carson City woman was arrested Saturday afternoon for misdemeanor petit larceny after allegedly stealing about $30 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. Her bail was $250.

• A 27-year-old Reno man was arrested on charges of first offense driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, Friday night near North Carson and Bath streets. The man failed a field sobriety test and a preliminary breathalyzer test showed a .286 percent blood alcohol content, more than three times the legal limit. Bail was $1,000.

• A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested just after midnight Saturday and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of his probation, all misdemeanors. A deputy responded to a call about drugs being sold and found the man, who was in an alternative sentencing program, allegedly with two small bags of marijuana and a pipe with methamphetamine residue. Bail was $4,600.

• A 55-year-old Dayton man was arrested Friday afternoon on a warrant for failing to appear at traffic court, a misdemeanor. Bail was $274.

• A 19-year-old Carson City woman was transported to the Carson City Jail from Reno on charges of violating a suspended sentence, a misdemeanor. Bail was $3,000.

• A 43-year-old transient woman was transferred to the Carson City jail on charges of contempt of court, two charges of failure to appear before traffic court and contempt of court out of Douglas County, all misdemeanors. Her total bail was $2,501.

• A 19-year-old Carson City man and alleged gang member was arrested Saturday evening on a warrant for contempt of court, a misdemeanor. Bail is $500.

• A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday evening on charges of driving with a suspended license and driver's license and probation violation, all misdemeanors. When he was pulled over, a preliminary breathalyzer test showed a .04 percent blood alcohol content, half the legal limit. Bail was $3,550.

• A 42-year-old homeless man was arrested Saturday night and charged with obstructing an officer and being a drunken pedestrian, both misdemeanors. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed a .059 percent blood alcohol content. He also said he had used marijuana, according to the arrest report. Bail was $325.

• A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday night and charged twice for failure to appear at court, both misdemeanors. Bail was $10,000.

• A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested on a Nevada Highway Patrol misdemeanor warrant Sunday night. Bail was $340.

• A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested for failure to appear before a Sparks traffic court, a misdemeanor. Bail was $250.

• A 32-year-old Reno woman was taken to the Carson City jail by a bail bond company to face charges of contempt of court, a misdemeanor. Bail was $5,000.
