Gary Andrew Jack

February 16, 1959 - December 6, 2013

Gary went home to be with our lord on December 6, 2013 with his family at his bedside. He grew up and lived at the Fallon Indian colony, attended the Churchill County Elementary schools, graduated from CCHS in June 1977. During his school years he participated in baseball and basketball. he later moved to Schurz. After graduation, he attended the Heald Engineering College majoring in drafting in San Francisco, California. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp. in 1981, serving some time in Korea, and honorably discharged in 1985. He loved attending concerts, especially Santana and several other performers in Nevada and in the California bay area. He held several jobs while in the Bay area and in Northern Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father Andrew Jack and his mother Lillian (Moose) Jack. Survived by his son Andrew Thomas Jack from Reno, brothers Eugene from Fallon, Mike from Reno, Randy (Heidi) from Schurz; sisters Lois Jim, and Audrey Jack from Schurz, and Andrea Ripley from Fallon. Nieces: Sarah Jack from Fallon, Cheyene Waterman-Jack from Reno. Nephews:Daniel Ripley from Fallon, Robert Hollbrook and Gerard Edward Jim, Jr. both from Reno. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 23rd, at 11:00am at the Smith Funeral home, burial with military honors at the Stillwater Cemetery. A dinner will be held following gravesite services at the Stillwater Tribal Gym.
