A woman who was arrested in Carson City Wednesday after allegedly stealing a car also has been arrested on two fugitive-from-justice warrants.

According to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office:

A customer at the Smith’s store on East William Street reported about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday that her 2005 Dodge truck had been stolen.

A deputy found the truck about a mile away, at 1400 Rand Ave. The deputy arrested its occupant, Kendra Ann Harkey, 31, of Reno.

Harkey first was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property. Bail was set at $25,000. She then was arrested at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Carson City Jail on the warrants, one out of Pleasant Hill, Calif., and the other out of Placer County, Calif. Bail was set at $20,000 on the first count; no bail was set on the second.
