Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested after taking checkbook from car dealership

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 10:44 a.m., Kimberly Gragg, 49, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony fugitive from justice after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 100 block of Koontz Lane. No bail was set.

At 12:25 p.m., a 47-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Roop and Washington streets. Bail was set at $15,000.

At 4:35 p.m., George Hudson, 37, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a forged instrument, felony uttering a forged instrument and petit larceny after deputies responded to reports of a fraud at the Highway 50 Super Sport Motors. Hudson had allegedly stolen a checkbook from the dealership and had attempted to cash a check at the Mutual of Omaha bank and was later arrested at his residence near the 2100 block of Molly Drive. Bail was set at $15,250.

At 5:19 p.m., Dariene Rhodes, 55, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 4700 block of S. Carson Street. Bail was set at $3,500.

FRIDAY

At 12:22 a.m., a 40-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of convicted person failure to register, intoxicated pedestrian, crossing at a place other than a cross walk and violation of pretrial conditions after deputies conducted a consensual stop near Bath and Carson streets. Bail was set at $3,200.

At 1:22 a.m., a 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a warrant search near the 500 block of Richmond Avenue. Bail was set at $10,000.

At 3:14 a.m., a 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense, license plates improperly displayed and failure to maintain a lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Saliman Road and William Street. Bail was set at $2,565.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
