The annual Churchill Country Fair and Ranch Hand Rodeo will be held Aug. 2-4 at the Churchill County Fair Grounds.

Admission is free to view all great exhibits and enjoy fabulous entertainment and there is free parking.

For the Ranch Hand Rodeo and Friday Night Bronc and Bull Riding, children 5 and under are free; 6-14 $5; and 14 and over $10.

Added to the fair this year on Friday night are NBHA sanctioned barrel racing, WSRRA Ranch Bronc and Bull riding featuring Camp Pendleton Marines, and Civil War re-enactments are slated all weekend. The Dutch Oven Cook-off is Saturday and starting Thursday-Sunday is the Schoeptner Show Carnival. All-day Friday wrist bands are available for $20 at Big R, Louie’s Home Center, Churchill County Parks & Recreation and Jeff’s Digitex Printing.

Free concerts featuring Decades and many local highlights are Friday and Saturday nights.

Returning this year is the Discover Science Exhibit with hands on truly amazing electric, animal and aquatic exhibits, Cuties Cowboy/Cowgirl Contest, local dancers, antique tractor contest and show and more.

Premium books are out and available free at local nurseries, the museum, library, Chamber of Commerce and the Ag Extension office; pick one up and find out when to turn in your entries and what categories are available this year for judging!
