Terry W. Burke passed suddenly of heart failure on April 16, 2014 at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. Terry was born in Hammond, Indiana, to Walter and Vivian Burke. He graduated from Hammond Tech High School. Terry was married to Sharon Johnson on December 28, 1963. They just celebrated fifty wonderful years of marriage. Terry worked for Johnson Electric for many years before moving the family to Washoe Valley, Nevada where they established and owned T. W. Burke Electric for 28 years. He was also a volunteer fireman and first responder during that period. Being a volunteer fire fighter was his passion. Terry is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Marijo Delay of Hamilton; and son, Todd W. Burke of Arizona. Also a sister, Shellie Organski of New York. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew as well as many friends who loved him. Terry gave his family a good life and was a supporting husband and father and friend. He would do anything for anyone that needed his help. Terry had a love of living life to the fullest. He enjoyed the outdoors which encompassed hunting and fishing, four wheeling and boating. He loved the camaraderie of square dancing and enjoyed traveling. He was captivated by aviation. A friend always said that he never let the grass grow under his feet. Terry Burke was a big tease and comedian. If you have been teased by him you knew you were well liked.
