After a candidate search, the Nevada Cattlemen’s Association hired Stephanie Licht of Spring Creek as its new executive director.
“Stephanie, a longtime Elko County resident, is a well-qualified addition to our association having served the agricultural industry in various capacities over her lifetime. We extend a warm welcome to Stephanie and look forward to having her as our new NCA executive director,” said Ron Torell, president of Nevada Cattlemen’s Association.
Originating in 1935 as the sounding voice for Nevada’s livestock industry, NCA, a dues paying non-profit membership organization, had the same goals and mission then as it does today: “To promote, preserve and protect a dynamic and profitable Nevada beef industry.”
Center to accomplishing these goals and mission has been an ever-important fleet of volunteers as well as the two paid staff positions of executive director and executive secretary.
Licht will join Sharon McKnight, NCA executive secretary and the many membership volunteers in helping NCA accomplish its mission.
The NCA also puts on the annual Fallon All Breeds Bull Sale, which occurs every February.
