Sharon was born on May 31, 1943 in Yerington, Nevada, to Pete and Aloha Domenici. She graduated from Yerington High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nevada Reno. She and her first husband, Jim Richards, were cottage parents at the Nevada State Children’s Home in Carson City for many years. They also started the Children’s Home in Boulder City, Nevada. They raised several boys and girls throughout their career.Sharon also worked at State Personnel as a Senior Personnel Analyst and as a State Trainer for several years. Towards the latter part of her career, she worked for the Division of Forestry and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Sharon and her second husband, Ron Vietti, also operated and owned Papion Carpet in Carson City for several years.She was preceded in death by husband, Ron Vietti, parents, Pete and Aloha Domenici, and brother, Jamie Domenici. She is survived by sons Bill Richards and Jon Vietti (Michele), sisters Theo Skogsberg (Keith) and Lona Domenici (Chet Bunch), grandchildren, Tessa Richards, Donny Vietti and Abriana Vietti, niece, Tiffany Williams, nephews, Erik Skogsberg (Amy) and Nik Skogsberg.Sharon enjoyed her family and friends and will be missed but never forgotten. Her services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Chapel in St. Teresa of Avilla Catholic Church, 3000 North Lompa Ln., Carson City, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.
