Commissioners meet tomorrow morning

The first County Commission meeting of August will be conducted today at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation on activities and updated from Victor Lozano, associate district manager of the Winnemucca District Office of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action regarding interlocal agreement between Churchill County Fire Department and North Lyon County Fire Protection District.

Consideration and possible action regarding grant agreement with State of Nevada HHS CSBG for the provision of General Community Action Activities for Churchill County Social Services.

Consideration and possible action regarding agreement with CSBG to obtain discretionary grant funding Churchill County Social Services.

Consideration and possible action regarding sub agreement with Fallon Chamber of Commerce for the provision of community engagement project implementation for Churchill County Social Services.

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation of second quarter 2015 report of public administration duties.

Consideration and possible action regarding update on Northern Nevada Development Authority activities and on the Community Development Block Grant.

Consideration and possible action regarding review of secured log changes pursuant to NRS 61.310 fiscal year 2015-2016.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval to donate recovered property to the Senior Center.

Consideration and possible action regarding construction grant agreement with the William N. Pennington Foundation and Churchill County for the Churchill County Senior Center.

Consideration and possible action regarding implementation of the Pontifex Classification and Compensation study as revised, including approval of job descriptions, approval of any changes to compensation as directed by the board at the July 30 workshop and possible direction on future discussion and review of department head compensation.

Consideration and possible action regarding acknowledgement of recordation of a Conservation Easement on property owned by Frey Ranch LLC on Flying K Ranch Lance and authorization for issuance of TDR certificates to Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding declaration of certain uncollected property taxes as uncollectable and striking those taxes from tax rolls.

Consideration and possible action regarding change of date of the first regular monthly meeting scheduled for Oct. 1, to accommodate attendance at the Nevada Association of Counties Conference.

Consideration and possible action regarding request of transfer of funds to the Churchill County Road Department for first and final payment on the various fiscal year 2015 road and bridge projects.

Consideration and possible action regarding purchase of property located at 195 N Carson Street.
