To participate in Douglas County Public Library’s Winter Break Building Challenge, come to the library, at 1625 Library Lane in Minden, at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 19 to build an original toy or game.

Participants can use the library’s supply of LEGO or DUPLO bricks, or they can bring their own. They just have to fill out an entry form to enter their design in the contest, which is open to all ages.

Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place winner in each age category. One entry is allowed per person. Children under age four must use DUPLO bricks. Winners will be announced Jan. 13.

The LEGO Building Challenge is sponsored by the Friends of Douglas County Library. The Douglas County Public Library in Zephyr Cove is also participating. Winning entries will be displayed at the Minden library through Jan. 30.

More information and entry forms are at the library or douglas.lib.nv.us.
