An evening of wine and spirit tasting, food by Foodies Bystro and performances by dancers and musicians is set in Winter Wine, Spirits and All That Jazz from 7 to 10 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Brewery Arts Center, which is sponsoring this year’s event in partnership with the Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program.

“It’s true the Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program and Brewery Arts Center have collaborated to bring to Carson City an event unlike anything our city has ever seen before,” said Susan Haas, executive director of RSVP.

Haas said the event, which is the Brewery Arts Center’s annual fundraiser, is going to encompass eight areas and two blocks of the Brewery Arts Center’s campus, where dancers from Le Cirque Vagabond, a professional circus company based in Reno, are going to perform to music by the Jeff Leap Orchestra.

The event also offers a silent auction, and attendees will be able to make a wine glass charm or star in their own YouTube video.

Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door.

All proceeds go to RSVP, a nonprofit that helps homebound and low-income seniors, and the Brewery Arts Center, a nonprofit that supports the arts in Carson City.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals and businesses. To learn more, contact Haas at 775-687-4680, ext. 2, or Gina Lopez Hill at 775-883-1976. Charitable receipts will be given for all donations.
