Only in the Reno-Tahoe-Carson area can one ski and play a round of golf in the same day. At least during the past week.

The warm weather has allowed those the chance to hit the slopes and then the greens if they choose. While the warm, dry weather won’t continue to the level it’s been in the past week, conditions are expected to continue to be relatively warm and dry, with a some brief precipitation forecast for Sunday and Monday.

The peak of the dry, warm spell will end today with a high in the low 50s and an overnight low in the low 30s for Carson City, according to the National Weather Service.

That will change on Sunday night when the National Weather Service calls for a 60 percent chance of rain and snow, but stated little to no snow accumulation is expected. The high on Sunday is expected to be 50 with a low of 31.

The rain and snow is likely to continue through Monday, but again little to no snow accumulation is expected. Monday’s high is expected to be 46 with a low of 30.

For the rest of the week a little cooler, dry weather is expected with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s.
