The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the help in identifying a person of interest in a theft at the Topsy Lane Best Buy.

On Sept. 27, at 7:08 p.m., a man was seen on video kneeling in an aisle next to electronic tablets. The suspect allegedly opens a box containing a tablet and the peripherals, puts them in his pockets and exits the store without paying.

The suspect is believed to be a caucasian man in his mid-20s with brown hair. He’s believed to be about 5-9 and 185 pounds.

At the time of the incident, he’s wearing a white baseball cap with a black flat brim with an unknown black symbol on the left front side. He was also wearing black framed “Buddy Holly” style eye glasses. The suspect was dressed in a black T-shirt, black watch on his left wrist, black Nike shoes with a white swoosh and soles and light gray or white sweatpants with the word “Steelers” in black lettering on the front left leg.

A reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the suspect. Your identity is not needed. Anyone with information is urged to call DCSO Dispatch at 775-782-5126, Douglas County Secret Witness at 775-782-7463 or DCSO Investigator Ted Jasperson at 775-782-6299.
