Restaurant on S. Carson prepares for grand opening

Mexican cuisine Super Burrito recently closed its doors at 1250 S. Carson St., and a new restaurant is already taking over the space to prepare for its grand opening.

Alderto’s Fresh Mexican Food is also a locally-owned business and opens for business Friday morning at 7 a.m., said General Manager Jose Puga. Alderto’s is also located in Reno under the same ownership. A grand opening will take place on Saturday.

According to Super Burrito’s Facebook page, the Carson City location closed “because the demand wasn’t what we had anticipated”. Super Burrito continues to serve at their Minden, Reno and Sparks locations.
