Ada Hellwinkel Uhart passed away on December 6, 2016 at the age of 98.
She was a lifelong native of Carson Valley, born February 15, 1918 to John and Augusta Hellwinkel. She was raised on the Hellwinkel dairy farm on Centerville Lane and went to the local schools.
She married Nick Uhart and raised their 7 children on the Uhart Ranch on Heybourne Road.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, son, Loran Uhart; granddaughter, Sarita Uhart; grandsons, Clayton Wills and Ross Ganschow; and son-in-law Dennis Wills.
She leaves behind daughters, Marilyn (Dennis) Wills of Minden, Janice (Bill) Griffitts of Fallon, and Bette Jean (Carl) Ganschow of Lockwood; sons, Albert (Linda) of Carson City, Jim (Marilynn) of Reno and Darrell (Elizabeth) of Unionville; daughter-in-law Joy (Loran) Uhart of Minden; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Saint Gall’s Catholic Church on Thursday, December 15th at 10:30 am. Burial following reception at Genoa Cemetery
