Tristen Thomson was the first-place winner in the Churchill County Parks and Recreation New Year’s Day 5K Run/Walk.
More than 140 individuals participated in the run/walk to usher in the New Year with a positive outlook on fitness for the upcoming year.
Thomson, a senior on the Greenwave varsity cross country team from Churchill County High School, finished with a time of 17:34.8. Here are the results from the top 10 runners.
