Mike passed away on December 17, 2015, he was 69 years old. Mike was born on May 22, 1946 in Santa Monica, CA the son of Frederick W. & Nora Jean (Lynch) McCord. He attended Venice High School. Mike served in the U. S. Navy during Vietnam. He met and married Diane (Niemann) McCord in Reno, NV in 1980. Mike retired after 23 years with Pacific Bell and Nevada Bell. Then moved to Carson City where he worked for USPS for 16 years. His hobbies included Mopar vehicles, Motorcycles and anything Military. He is survived by his wife Diane, son Stephen McCord, half sister’s Teresa Marks, and Layna Myer and half brother Jason Sanchez. A Celebration of Life service will be held on
Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Chapel 1635 Clearview Drive, Carson City. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Disabled American Veterans P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250 in Fred’s name.
