The Carson Chamber Singers, conducted by Michael Langham, starts rehearsals for a pair of March concerts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the choral room at Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road. The larger Carson City Symphony Chorus will begin soon.

For its 31st season, the Carson Chamber Singers is presenting an assortment of concerts, the first of which will be on Saturday, March 5, and Tuesday, March 8, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Carson City. The group has openings to be filled by audition.

The Carson City Symphony Chorus was formed in 2012 to provide additional opportunities for amateur and volunteer professional vocalists, including high school and church choir members from throughout the area, to sing choral masterpieces with orchestra. The Chorus performs with the Carson City Symphony in December and June in Carson City, and on July 4 in Genoa. The Chorus is open to all singers, high-school age through adults.

Choristers who are interested in auditioning for the Carson Chamber Singers or joining the Carson City Symphony Chorus should contact Director Michael Langham at ccsingersdirector@gmail.com, or call the Symphony at 775-883-4154.
