The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada is hosting free basketball handling clinics for kids of all ages from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturdays through March 26 at the Multi-purpose Athletic Center,1870 Russell Way.
The first clinic was held on Jan. 23 and featured Bill Bollinger from the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows’ Ballers program as guest coach.
“Last week we had both boys’ and girls’ varsity teams from Carson High School in attendance,” Kurt Meyer, president of the Clubs’ board of directors and event creator, said. “Each week we will bring in special guest coaches to help kids improve or learn new basketball skills. We would love to see as many kids as possible enjoy the clinics.”
Drop-in clinics are open to children and teens, and participants need not be Club members.
