Carson City Recreation’s Basic Dog Obedience class, instructed by Guy Yeaman, begins Tuesday, June 14, and runs through July 19. Class meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Fuji Park.

Yeaman uses his 45-plus years of experience to help attendees teach their dogs to obey basic obedience commands and curb bad habits.

Each dog needs a training collar (choke chain, Halti, martingale, harness, etc.) and a 4-to-6-foot leash. Dogs must be current on all shots through rabies. Written proof must be shown at the start of class.

The six-week course costs $80. To register, go to www.carson.org/ccpr, or call 775-283-7422. For more information, call Yeaman at 775-265-4530.
