Fernley Republican Women to meet June 21

Lori Piotrowski, president of Nevada Federation of Republican Women, and Scott Huntley, district fire chief of North Lyon County Fire Protection District, will be featured at Fernley Republican Women’s next meeting at 6:30 p.m. June 21 at Fernley High School Library, 1300 Highway 95A. A light meal will be served at 6 p.m.

Piotrowski, the author of “Revolutionary Heart,” served two terms as president of Boulder City Republican Women. Chief Huntley will talk about the increased demand that the growth anticipated in the area will add to the present level of emergency service.

Donations are encouraged for Fernley Republican Women’s Caring for America/Adopt-a-Soldier program, which collects non-perishable foods for the Fernley Food Bank along with donations of funds and care items for soldiers. Children’s books are also being collected for the Ronald McDonald House and Renown Hospital’s children’s ward. Money donations can be sent to Fernley Republican Women, P.O. Box 412, Fernley 89408.
