Easton promoted in Department of Administration

Lee Ann Easton has been promoted from head of Human Resources for the state to Deputy Director of the Department of Administration.

She was replaced as head of HR by longtime deputy Administrator Peter Long.

Easton has nearly 27 years experience in state service. Department Director Patrick Cates said she will “serve a critical role in the director’s office to ensure steady improvements in customer service and process efficiencies throughout the department.

Long has been deputy administrator in Human Resources since 2004.

Cates said his strong knowledge of personnel issues and management skills will maintain a focus on improving customer services in all aspects of human fresource services.
