Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 8:27 a.m., Christopher Scott, 25, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony attempted murder, felony battery with a deadly weapon with substantial bodily harm and felony domestic battery with substantial harm after deputies responded to reports of a stabbing near the 2000 block of College Parkway around midnight. Scott turned himself into authorities later that morning near Timberline and Prospect. Bail was set at $120,000.

At 5:50 p.m., William Gray, 51, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and destruction of property after deputies responded to reports of a battery at the Carson Street Nugget. Gray was located by deputies near the 600 block of Carson Street. Bail was set at $22,500.

At 9:01 p.m., Gabriel Renteria, 25, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony home invasion warrant, violation of temporary protection order and petit larceny after deputies conducted a warrant check near the 3100 block of Halleck Drive. Bail was set at $25,000.

FRIDAY

At 12:41 a.m., a 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense and no insurance after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the William Street Dotty’s Casino. Bail was set at $3,100.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
