Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of third DUI

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 8:50 a.m., Alberto Malasaga, 49, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery with a deadly weapon after deputies responded to a battery near the 600 block of King Street. Bail was set at $30,000.

SATURDAY

At 5:45 a.m., a 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, disobedience to traffic control device, driving left of center and failure to maintain a lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Park and Stewart streets. Bail was set at $1,120.

At 6:18 a.m., Duffy Thomas, 26, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation hold, felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to reports of an activated intrusion alarm at the Beverly Drive Senior Center. At the same incident, a 57-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Bail for Thomas was set at $3,500 and bail for the 57-year-old was set at $1,600.

At 2:02 p.m., a 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of a failure to appear warrant after deputies responded to reports of a possible domestic dispute near the 1200 block of Roland Street. Bail was set at $215.

At 5:39 p.m., a 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of violation of bail conditions after deputies responded to reports of a possible domestic dispute near the 100 block of Empire Lane. Bail was set at $6,000.

At 6:33 p.m., Angela Gray, 52, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 2100 block of Long Street. At the same incident, Keith Watrous, 45, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of violation of pre-trial supervision. Bail for Gray was set at $8,500 and bail for Watrous was set at $9,500.

At 7:34 p.m., a 35-year-old Indian Hills woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop at the Carson Street Red Hut Cafe. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 10:23 p.m., Alisha Ross, 19, of Minden was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies initiated a consensual stop near Long and Humbolt. Bail was set at $3,500.

At 10:46 p.m., a 36-year-old Silver Springs man was arrested on suspicion of a failure to appear warrant after deputies initiated a consensual stop near the 1900 block of William Street. Bail was set at $630.

SUNDAY

At 4:17 a.m., Thomas Hogan, 47, of Carson City was arrested on felony DUI-third offense and failure to use headlights after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Roop and Musser streets. Bail was set at $20,025.

At 10:53 a.m., Joseph Gonzales, 26, a transient was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription and DUI after deputies responded to reports of a possible overdose near the 4700 block of Highway 50. At the same incident, a 25-year-old Dayton woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail for Gonzales was set at $3,500 and bail for the woman was set at $1,000.

At 2:36 p.m., a 45-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of obtaining money under false pretenses and trespassing after deputies responded to reports of a man returning unpaid items to the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $2,650.

At 8:36 p.m., a 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of arrest of a probationer warrant after deputies responded to reports of a an unwanted person near the Carson Street Camp N’ Town RV Park. Bail was set at $3,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
