Oct 15, 1932 - July 20, 2017

Donna Lee Colt of Fallon, NV went home to God on July 20, 2017. Donna was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on October 15, 1932 to Dale and Madeleine McDeavitt.

She moved with her family to the Bay Area in California, and eventually met and married Arthur Colt in San Francisco, CA. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Susan and Cathy. Donna and Arthur loved to ride motorcycles, fish, and hunt. They moved to Fallon after his retirement, and Donna said after he passed away that he couldn’t have left her in a better place.

Despite keeping an immaculate house and tending a beautiful garden, Donna found time to devour books and remained incredibly active in her community. She loved gardening and was a cherished member of the Hoe ‘n’ Hum Garden Club. With her friends she enjoyed having lunch, day trips.and even water aerobics back in the day. Donna was an active and vital part of Epworth United Methodist Church until the end; she has been a board member of the United Methodist Women for years, was on the church visitation committee, and led services at Homestead.

She will be remembered for her humility, her hospitality, her sense of humor, her calling to serve seniors, and her love for welcoming the stranger, although no one remained a stranger to Donna! Her strong faith and love for God serves as an example to us all. She was openly grateful for all that God had done for her throughout her life. A devoted mother, friend, and neighbor-Donna Colt will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughters Cathy Holder currently in Texas and Susan Bohlender of Gardnerville, Nevada; Donna is also survived by her grandsons Mitchell and Travis.

A service in honor of Donna’s life will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 280 E Stillwater, at 10 AM on Saturday, August 12th followed by a reception in the church’s Fireside Room.

Donna requested that any donations be sent to the Epworth United Methodist Church building fund.
