The Spanish language collection has been updated and includes a variety of both fiction and non-fiction titles. If there is a particular title you’d like let us know, and we’ll try to make it happen. Downloadable titles in Spanish are available through Overdrive.


Featured Artist

Paintings by Cami Grace are on exhibit in the in the library through June. A meet the artist was recently held at the library.


IRIS SHOW

The Lahontan Garden Club presents its annual Iris Show the week of May 15-19. Come in and see all the beautiful varieties from around the valley.

New and Noteworthy

“‘Round Midnight”: A Novel by Laura McBride — Nevada author weaves a story spanning the six decades when Las Vegas grew from a dusty gambling town into the melting pot metropolis it is today, ‘Round Midnight is the story of four women—one who falls in love, one who gets lucky, one whose heart is broken, and one who chooses happiness — whose lives change at the Midnight Room.


“The Strip: Las Vegas and the Architecture of the American Dream” by Stephan Al — Al examines the many transformations of the Las Vegas Strip, arguing that they mirror transformations in America itself. The Strip is not, as popularly supposed, a display of architectural freaks but representative of architectural trends and a record of social, cultural, and economic change.
