Boomer’s is sponsoring a 100 percent local spring cook-off on June 3 from noon to 3 p.m. with sampling starting at 1 p.m.

All profits will go to the Churchill Animal Protection Society (CAPS).

Registration to compete ends Monday. Categories include rib, macaroni and cheese and Bloody Marys.

First- and second-place awards will be presented.

Everything is local: Local bar, local vendors, local charity, local music and D.J., local dairy, local vodka and local ribs.

Bring your Live Local Fallon passports and receive stamps. The event will also have a 50/50 raffle prizes.

This is a family friendly event, and the kids’ area includes a bounce house, ice cream, hot dogs, funnel cakes and face painting for $1 per child.

Ticket prices purchased at the event are $15 for a combo ticket to sample items in all three categories, and $10 for a food-only ticket to sample all ribs and macaroni and cheese.
