The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and Lyon County District Attorney’s Office are seeking help with a case involving a vehicle that fled the scene where a victim was located.

Between 6:30 and 7 p.m., on Jan. 1, Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies located a victim on the side of Highway 95 Alternate near Luzier Lane in Yerington.

A suspect in the case fled the scene north from Yerington toward Silver Springs in a 2019 silver, four-door Nissan sedan with California license plates.

The vehicle traveled at high rates of speed and refused to stop for deputies with their lights and sirens on. The vehicle passed unsafely and forced other vehicles off the road.

Witnesses provided law enforcement with the direction of travel of the fleeing vehicle which ultimately led the apprehension of the suspect.
