Carson Middle School's annual Chili Bingo Night takes place Friday, Nov. 22 in the school's gym. Doors open at 5 p.m., chili tasting begins at 5:30 p.m. and bingo games start at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser go to Carson Middle School Band program, which is raising money for new music stands and uniforms, as well as provide financial assistance to ensure all students can participate in band. Band members also are raising money to help pay for its out-of-state competitions and trips in the spring.

Admission is free with raffle tickets and bingo cards available for only $1. More than 50 local businesses have donated prizes such as sightseeing flights, skydiving, hotel stays, ski lift tickets, gift baskets and gift certificates up for grabs for the winner. The Carson High School Band Boosters will host the chili cookoff and offer concessions for purchase.

Chili Bingo Night is a popular annual tradition that supports a great cause. Families have the chance to come out for a fun and entertaining evening, and local businesses reach out to support by donating exciting prizes. The band asks to help reach its $10,000 goal. For those interested in entering a chili in the cookoff, entry is free and participants could win a cash prize. Visit www.cmsbands.org for more information.
