3 people busted for meth, heroin with baby in car, Carson City Sheriff says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless convicted in court.

WEDNESDAY

• At 1:42 p.m., a 25-year-old Tesla employee was arrested after a traffic stop at Division and Bath for no license plates. He also had a warrant for a traffic violation. Bail was set at $505.

• At 4:06 p.m., Ryan Lynskey, 44, was arrested on a fugitive warrant after deputies responded to an address on Carson Street for a report of a man passed out in front of the business. He was held without bail on the warrant issued in Washington state.

• At 6:23 p.m., A 33-year-old woman was arrested after deputies went to a residence on Lake Glen Drive for a welfare check. A small amount of meth was found in an Altoids can in the bathroom. Then deputies found a firearm in her purse. She was charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Bail was set at $8,500.

THURSDAY

• At 11:06 a.m., three people were arrested on multiple charges including drug possession and child endangerment in the parking lot of the Gold Dust West. A search of the vehicle found both meth and heroin residue, a blue diazepam pill and paraphernalia including a needle. Ron Ashland, 30, Mark Duncan, 40, and Mary Franklin, 30, were all charged with possession of controlled substances, paraphernalia, conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act and child endangerment because of the 4-month-old baby in the vehicle. Franklin was charged with an outstanding warrant and held without bail. Duncan also had a warrant for a misdemeanor offense. His bail was set at $54,140. Ashland’s bail was set at $53,500.

• At 1:08 p.m., a 36-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant charging violation of suspended sentence conditions after a traffic stop on William Street. Bail was set at $1,000.

• At 2:15 p.m., Victoria Mynear, 72, was arrested after deputies were called to the area of Walton’s Funeral Home for a report of a woman sleeping on the grass. She was arrested after the deputy found a Minnesota driver’s license in her purse that was in someone else’s name. Bail was set at $5,000.

FRIDAY

• At 2:45 a.m., Elijah Chaffee, 23, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after a traffic stop on Highway 50 near Deer Run Road for an expired registration. Chaffee was a passenger in the vehicle and admitted to officers he had a Ruger pistol in a shoulder holster. Bail was set at $5,000.
